Congratulations, you’re engaged!

You have so many exciting things to look forward to with wedding planning, but it can be a bit overwhelming. You’ve been dreaming of this one big day your whole life and it only happens once! As your wedding photographer I will be there with you every step of the way, from your engagement session to your big send-off, or even for any girl chat you may need along the way! Your wedding photos will be an heirloom, a keepsake you and generations ahead will cherish for years to come. Once the vows have been made, the guests have said their farewells, and the cake has been eaten, your photos will spark memories of your wedding day every time you look at them. My goal is to make your photography experience not only amazing but one of the easiest parts of your wedding planning, because you deserve it!

As someone who specializes only in weddings, I know that the best experiences come from a connection. Because we will be spending a lot of time together on your big day, I understand that you not only need a photographer that can create beautiful heirloom images but someone that shares your values and of course that you can enjoy spending time with! I take the time to get to know my couples and form a relationship with them. I want to hear your love story and your proposal story, so on your wedding day I can tell your unique story and give you the highest quality experience.

The Wedding Experience starts at $2,800 and includes 6 hours of wedding day coverage and an online gallery with digital downloads of high-resolution images. Because all weddings are unique most couples invest around $3,500-$5,200 between coverage, a la carte options, and print products to complete the Wedding Experience.

Do you think we are a match?

Alicia Ann Couples are free-spirited romantics that cherish family and adventure. They spend their weekends finding new places to hike and running in 5k’s but always make time for dinner with their parents and closest friends. They appreciate the little things and are detail oriented in wedding planning, with finishing touches like bespoke calligraphy and bohemian-inspired floral bouquets. They envision saying I Do on the shores of Newport, in a gilded age mansion by the sea, or in a quaint rustic barn in the countryside. She yells “puppy!” every time a dog walks by, and he wears his heart on his sleeve, always holding her hand. They love trying new places to eat and enjoying food and wine with those they love. One of their favorite seasons is Fall where they can escape to a cozy cabin in the woods and enjoy some snuggles by a roaring fire. When their not together she loves shopping with her girlfriends before going to yoga class, and he loves catching a Bruins game with his guys. Together they love to look at old photos of their parents and grandparents, and dream of the day they can pass their own wedding heirloom down to their children and grandchildren.

I’m not into stiff and unnatural posing, and will laugh with you to create natural moments that showcase your love and personalities. I aim to create unique, one-of-a-kind images just like the two of you. Many of my couples have so much fun at their sessions, they forget we haven’t been friends for ages. I get you if you love adventures, Disney movies and Harry Potter, finish each others sentences, like to laugh until it hurts, cheer for the home team, enjoy a night out with good food and wine, and of course are best friends that are out of this world in love!

I’d love to meet you and create some timeless images for your wedding day!

 FAQ

Who owns the images? . . .

We both do! As the photographer and artist, Alicia Ann Photographie holds copyright on the images. But you are free to print them, share them and display them for personal use however you like. You can share your online gallery with guests, family and friends so they can download, print and share their favorite images as well!

How do we book you?! . . .

Are you ready to say yes?! Yay! You can contact me with some details about your wedding day, location, and some tidbits of info about the two of you and we can go ahead and help you choose the perfect collection. I love to meet my couples for coffee or wine so we can get to know each other and I can answer all of your questions. Alicia Ann Photographie requires a $1,000 deposit to save your date on our calendar and an agreement we both sign. It's easy as pie!

I'd like less than 6 hours of coverage. Can you do that? . . .

Of course! If you don't see the perfect collection to meet your needs I would be happy to customize something for you. I love to travel, so if you are eloping or just need a few hours for a ceremony and some formals I would be happy to give you a custom quote based on your needs.

How long do my photos take to finish? . . .

Within a day or two of your wedding I will post some sneak peeks on Facebook and Instagram, so make sure you friend me and follow me so I can tag you and you can see them right away. Most weddings take 8-12 weeks because of the care and attention to detail I take in every frame. I also hand edit everything myself and do not send your photos out to third party editing services.

For weddings it depends on how long I am there for and if a second shooter is also added. For a 6 hour wedding with me expect around 700 final photos. If your wedding coverage is longer or a second shooter is added expect 1200 or more!

For engagment or couples sessions expect 50+ images depending on how long your session is and how many locations we visit.

What if you haven't shot at my venue before? . . .

Never fear, it's nearly impossible for a photographer to shoot at every lovely venue in New England! However if you love my style and we get along brilliantly, but are worried because I haven't been to your venue, here are some things to consider. First, I will gladly schedule a time with your venue to walk the property, get a tour and get some insider info on all the best spots for photos first hand as long as your venue is in New England. Second, I do extensive research online and look at blogs that feature your venue to see what other people have done. Third, as an artist photographers are absolutely amazing at pulling creative rabbits out of hats in less than ideal situations. I've shot beautiful images between thunderstorms and downpours, hiked to a couples dream location, climbed trees, waded in rivers, and just have an eye drawn to picturesque spots. I've never felt uncomfortable in a location I've never been to before, and am usually running around excited to explore the beauty of your favorite venue!

Do you photograph babies, families, Quinceaneras, Debutants, Bah Mitzvahs, or corporate events?. . .

At this time I do not. I have chosen to specialize and excel strictly at couples and weddings, as well as ballet dancers and boudoir. I will be more than happy to refer you to some of my amazing industry friends that photograph moments that I do not and have a similar style to me!

What is your photography style? . . .

I am a natural light photographer with a love for dreamy, romantic images. I love pastel color palates (especially blush and mint!), bohemian bouquets, sparkles, and natural imagery. I take a photojournalistic approach to the majority of your wedding day, but will help you stay organized and on time, direct family portraits, style details and accessories, and pose you naturally to make you look completely Pinterest worthy!

I do use flash and lighting for your reception and for some sunset and night photos, but try to stay away from it as much as possible as it can be a little too dramatic for me. I like to document the two of you exactly as you are, and while I use editing software to adjust images to my signature style, I do not manipulate images heavily in Photoshop or perform digital manipulations.

What kind of equipment do you use? . . .

I use professional grade Nikon equipment and accessories and back ups.

Can we meet you beforehand? . . .

YES! After your initial inquiry I love to set up a phone chat or coffee (or wine!) date for me to meet the two of you, show you some prints and products and answer all your questions. I’m a huge fan of getting to know my clients in person so that when we hang out for your engagement session you will feel more at ease!

Where and when do you do Engagement Sessions? . . .

Engagement sessions take place at the location of your choice on weekdays only, since I’m off at weddings or events on the weekends. I like to schedule them 2 hours before sunset for the most beautiful light! Don’t have a location in mind? Not to worry, I know plenty of amazing places!

Travel: If your engagement session is 1-2 hours from Warwick, RI there is a $150 travel fee. If your session is 2+ hours from Warwick, RI travel fees will be custom quoted. I’m down to travel anywhere for your session!

Do you bring an assistant or second shooter? . . .

I normally don’t need much assistance on a wedding day and am experienced enough to capture all the special moments alone. An assistant might be someone to help fix hair and dress hems, or read off the family formal shot list to me.

A second shooter is an experienced photographer that travels with me for alternate shots. They bring value to the wedding day if each partner is getting ready in a seperate location and coverage for both getting ready is needed. It’s also great to have a second shooter for large ceremonies so we can get lots of different angles! Plus if you want LOTS of pictures of your wedding day, adding a second shooter is the way to go!
