Spring is in the air and the Pantone color of the year fits the season with perfection! I love Spring because it is when flowers bloom, the winter chill starts to leave, and vibrant colors are everywhere. This bridal portrait session was inspired by Spring, gorgeous florals, soft and bright colors and vintage glamor! We kick off wedding season this upcoming weekend here at Alicia Ann Photographie, so it was so much fun to be able to have a fun portrait session before we get ready for our biggest season yet!
Scales and Shells has a beautiful upstairs called UpScales which perfect for dinner and events such as this wedding rehearsal dinner! In perfect Newport wedding fashion, Scales and Shells is tucked in the downtown area of Thames Street right by the water. Up the stairs is a beautiful, bright and airy space with tables to seat 40 and a private bar. I photographed this event and all it’s details on a sunny morning where the light just sang! The food that came out was the most delicious, and I know because after working you better believe I was all about eating! For bar snacks they had olives, grissini and pistachios. Appetizers were mussels au gratin, cod, bacon and potato bites with dipping sauce, a rosemary and caramelized onion and gorgonzola pizza and a bibb salad. The main course featured swordfish with lobster and asparagus butter and pan seared cod with a warm tomato vinaigrette. Can you say YUM?! Desserts were the most adorable and Newport themed cookies from Newport Sweet Shoppe! I have to say, this was definitely one of the most delicious shoots I have had to date! And speaking of dates, guess who is being wined and dined there on Valentine’s Day?!
